David Tuttle gave his side full marks for the battling display that earned a crucial point at Ipswich.

Tuttle was delighted with the way his side matched play-off hopefuls Ipswich and claimed they might have merited a win.

The Lions needed a late strike from David Livermore to snatch a draw but Tuttle said: 'It was a fantastic performance.

'We started slowly and Ipswich were on top for 10 minutes but after that we coped very well and maybe deserved more than a point.

'All our players battled all the way through and all credit to them.'

Tuttle was angry with referee Brian Curson after he sent off Tony Craig for time-wasting in the final minute.

He said 'I took the ball from Zak Whitbread and threw it to Tony to take the throw. I can't see how it can be Tony's fault.'

The Lions boss is convinced his side can avoid relegation and said: 'I was confident from the start or I wouldn't have taken the job if I didn't think I could do it.

'All that matters is that we finish this season fourth from bottom because it is no good playing well and still getting relegated.'
