Hutch plots revenge

Don Hutchison will be plotting Millwall's downfall from the sidelines when they face his new club Coventry on Saturday.

Hutchison joined Millwall in the summer after being released by West Ham but struggled to win a regular first-team place at The Den.

He joined Coventry on loan last weekend and scored on his debut against Plymouth after coming on as a substitute.

The former Scotland star is unable to play against the Lions on Saturday under the terms of his loan deal but he admitted he will be briefing City boss Micky Adams on his former team-mates.

Hutchison said: 'I think they (Millwall) have turned the corner, but I am with Coventry now and I want them to do really well.

'I will be speaking to the gaffer and filling him in with all the information I can to help prepare the team.

'It is frustrating that I can't play, particularly from a fitness point of view.

'But it is one of those silly rules they put in place because it is usually Sod's Law that a former player scores against his old club, so no doubt they are a little bit worried on that score.'

On-loan Derby defender Jamie Vincent, 30, could have secured a permanent move to The Den before the Coventry clash.

Lee is in talks with Derby and Rams boss Phil Brown confirmed: 'I believe director of football Murdo Mackay is very, very close to a deal for Millwall to secure Jamie's services on a more permanent basis.'
