'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dunne and dusted

Alan Dunne reckons he can help Millwall climb out of the relegation zone.

Dunne scored his first goal of the season to earn a point against Brentford on Tuesday.

It has been a disappointing season for the verstile Irish youngster after losing his place at the start of the campaign.

But he has been back in the team for the last few matches and is beginning to make an impact again.

Dunne insists the players' morale is still good despite Nigel Spackman's sacking and he is determined to show his true worth in the next few weeks.

He said: 'It's been a tough week. But the Brentford game has given us something to build on and we can look forward to Saturday now.

'Even though we started well, we went a goal behind but didn't let our heads drop, we kept our shape and showed a resilience to get back into the game.

'From my point of view I was delighted to get my first goal of the season.

'It feels like I have been waiting a long time and it was overdue, but now I'm off the mark I want to go on and get some more goals.

'Rotherham is going to be a big game for us on Saturday, although they are all big at the moment.'
