Slade: Millwall Were On Top

Russell Slade believes that Yeovil should have taken a point from last night's match with Millwall, despite conceding that his side were disappointing throughout the match.

The former Grimsby boss admitted that The Lions were the better team for the majority of the second period, but insisted that The Glovers deserved a draw.

Bas Savage's goal twenty minutes from time settled a tight encounter at Huish Park and a determined block from Marc Laird keept out Terry Skiverton's goalbound effort deep into additional time.

'I was disappointed, after a bright start, with the second-half performance,' he said.

'In the second half I thought Millwall got on top but we had the best chances all night - even in the 88th minute when we had a glorious opportunity to take a point.'

this is a bit of sour grapes, and we should know, we have suffered games like this ourselves all season long. They say these things even themselves out over a course of a season, so we are due the same every week now until May 3rd!
