Maik Delighted With Millwall Shot
Maik Taylor has said he feels in perfect shape to 'begin' his proper Millwall career at the tender age of 40.
Speaking to the official site Taylor said.
'I feel as fit as ever and I'm determined to keep playing for as long as I can. There are a number of keepers still playing at the top level into their forties, my body feels good, I'm still able to train as hard as ever and I love playing so I'm delighted to have the chance to continue my career at Millwall.'
Maik adds he's also taking nothing for granted when the new season comes around, as despite ending his loan spell on the pitch, he knows he has to prove he deserves to start the season as our number 1.
'When we start in pre season I'll be battling for the number 1 jersey with David Forde and maybe another keeper. If I'm in the side that will be great, but if not I'll be both supporting and putting pressure on whoever is in the team.'
