Marquis To Step Up
Kenny Jackett has called on John Marquis to further improve his form to win his starting place back in the team.
After a reasonably bright start last term, Marquis was hampered by a hernia operation, and never quite discovered the same form, but Jackett has been impressed with him so far in pre season and has called on him to improve further.
Speaking to Newshopper the boss said.
'He had 19 games last year, which is good for a teenager, and he needs to build on that this year if he can. John has got a few goals in pre season which is good, as well as some experience upfront with Keogh.'
Overall Jackett described the Ireland tour as a success, and he said he was very pleased with the commitment from the players in training and during the games.
