There Was A Lot Of Pressure On The Ref
Kenny Jackett was pleased with our overall performance against Sheff Wed, but admits he felt the referee was under pressure from a passionate crowd.
Speaking to NewsShopper following the game, Jackett explained.
'We caused them problems on the break and played some very good football today, with two excellent goals away from home. I didn't think it was a free kick on O'Grady from Osborne, I thought it was a fair challenge. I thought that the goal Keogh scored in the second half where Osborne challenged the keeper, the free kick was given very quickly. It was perhaps hard for the referee but I thought he was harsh against us in the second half. There was a lot of pressure on the referee today from a very passionate crowd.'
