'If It's Football, It's Vital'

All About Chris Wood...

Chris Wood talks about settling in at Millwall, Danny Shittu hates facing him in training, and the Chairman wants him on a permanent deal.

Speaking to the official site Wood said he was loving life at Millwall, and his current record of four goals in the last two games, he believes is testament to how settled he has become here.

'It's gone brilliantly so far, I'm scoring and playing football, which is exactly what I want to be doing. Nottingham Forest is a big game but anybody can beat anybody on the day and we will take confidence from our unbeaten run. We are going in the right direction.'

Speaking to London24 Danny Shittu said he believes that Wood wants to stay at Millwall and that he's a nightmare to train against, so he believes other clubs certainly won't want to face him.

'I think people can see that he's loving it and building up a good relationship with Hendo. I know that he wants to stay. I know that he's enjoying it and he's scoring as well. Even in training I don't like playing against those two, I don't think any defence in this league would be able to deal with them.'

And finally, the good news is John Beryslon confirmed to Lions Live that Millwall will be attempting to secure Wood on a permanent deal after Christmas.

'We'll try, Chris is someone we've known about for years. West Brom will have to make a decision, hopefully we can meet in the middle. Chris has fit in great, I hope he likes being here, he'd be great to have and it's something I'm always thinking about.'
