Jackett Hoping For A Cup Run

Jackett Hoping For A Cup Run

After seeing us come from behind against Aston Villa, Kenny Jackett is hoping we can put together a little cup run and maybe end up back at Wembley again.

Speaking to Talksport after the win, the gaffer said.

'We do fancy a run. If you get big draws it can help in many ways with the confidence of the players, and also if they can play against Premier League players, because ultimately, that's where every player wants to be. It's important for the club aswell, financially it's a big thing to have a cup run. We are in a good position and we want to capitalise on that.'

Obviously everything from the night wasn't good news, as the FA will be probing the bottle throwing incident which otherwise marred a great performance.

Kenny said to the press of the incident.

'We can't condone people throwing bottles on to the pitch, that doesn't help us. There's a line between supporting your club and creating a passionate atmosphere but we don't want to step over that line.'
