The club have released a statement following the Sky Sports News Special Report aired on Monday evening.
The club say they are 'shocked and appalled' by the footage aired by Sky showing racist abuse in The Den.

'As a club Millwall has been at the forefront of the battle to eradicate racism from football, and in spite of the incidents shown in this programme, tremendous strides have been made. However, it's a sad fact that a small minority of people still hold racist views and some individuals bring them into football throughout the stadium. We firmly believe that football is not the problem, but football is part of the solution.'
The statement goes on to explain that reports of racism in the Leeds game were picked up on social media and an immediate investigation was launched by the club once they were aware of this, but at the time there were no official reports of any incidents from officials, police etc to substantiate the comments on Twitter.
The club also say they spoke to the Leeds player believed to be the victim of racism, and he confirmed that this had not been the case, therefore, the club had nothing to substantiate the claims and obviously refuted them.
Now new evidence is available, the club have requested that Sky provide the Police with all the footage of the game, and obviously, as in previous cases, the club will provide total co-operation to the Police as they investigate this matter thoroughly.
