Manager Decision Not Imminent

Andy Ambler has said that fans shouldn't expect an announcement on our new manager for about another fortnight.

Speaking to the official site Ambler said that a decision wouldn't be taken in the next 10 days, but he did confirm the club now had a shortlist of potential new gaffers and the interview process will begin next week.

'It's true we now have a short list of some half a dozen candidates. No decision is likely to be made within the next 10 days or so, and indeed I would anticipate that we would speak to some candidates more than once before we are ready to make an appointment.'

Ambler says that he knows the press are full of speculation but when a decision is made the club will announce it themselves, and he warns fans about getting too carried away with what the read or hear at this stage.

The club has also dismissed speculation that Markus Babbel has been approached over the vacant managerial seat.
