Lomas Looking Forward To First Game In Charge

Steve Lomas is looking forward to taking charge of his first game when we face Crawley, since taking the job.

We face The Reds at their Broadfield Stadium on Saturday at 3pm.

New signings Jermaine Easter, Steve Morison, Lee Martin and Stephen Bywater are all expected to be in the travelling squad, and despite saying they are only with us for fitness purposes, the squad will also include Lee Croft, John Pantsil and Nicky Shorey.

Speaking to the official site he explained.

'I'm looking forward to it. Obviously we've had a couple of weeks of breaking the boys in, but the games start now and that's another step towards match fitness. You want pre season to be competitive, that's how you get up to the level. All the teams we are going to play in pre season are going to be decent.'

Lomas hints that he'll play two sides in the game to give everybody a run out for 45 minutes.

Full travelling squad.

David Forde, Stephen Bywater, Alan Dunne, John Paintsil, Danny Shittu, Paul Robinson, Karleigh Osborne, Mark Beevers, Scott Malone, Nicky Shorey, James Henry, Liam Feeney, Jimmy Abdou, Jack Smith, Martyn Woolford, Lee Croft, Lee Martin, Josh Wright, John Marquis, Jermaine Easter, Steve Morison, Dany N`Guessan.
