Mark The Milestone With A Win

Mark The Milestone With A Win

Goalkeeper David Forde has said that he's hoping to celebrate his 250th appearance for Millwall by taking all three points from Bolton Wanderers.

The Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper moved to The Den from Cardiff City back in June 2008, and against Bolton this weekend the 33 year old will record his 250th appearance for the club since joining us.

Speaking to the official site ahead of the game and the milestone, Forde said that when he joined the club his main aim was to play as many games as possible, so to now be on the cusp of that many appearances delights him.

Of course he admits he's been lucky with injury over the years and he's been at the club for some of our best times, three trips to Wembley and a promotion, so he feels blessed and he's knows he indebted to the club for helping him on the international front as well.

As for the Bolton game itself, he admits he'd love to mark the occasion with a win and a clean sheet but everyone knows it's going to be a tough game because they have picked up some very good results recently, but playing in our favour.

'I do think a good win is just around the corner, so hopefully that will come on Saturday.'

Having not won since the Leeds game, five matches ago, we are certainly due one with how we responded to the defeats by Birmingham and Bournemouth and picked up some good draws.

Three points would be the icing on the cake at this stage.
