Lomas Looking For A Response

Manager Steve Lomas has called for Millwall to respond yet again following a heavy defeat to Leicester City yesterday.

We now face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in the mid week game, and Lomas has called on the team to put right our loss of points this weekend, but taking all three against another Midlands' based opponent.

Speaking to the official site following the three nil loss, Lomas admitted he both disappointed with the timing of their three goals, but also the manner in which we conceded them.

'They've scored very early in the game and away from home it was uphill from there. It was a sloppy one and the next two goals we conceded were bad. Were it not for the performance of David Forde it could have been a lot worse, make no mistake about it.'

Lomas goes on to say that we knew it would be a difficult game because of the quality of the Leicester side, and obviously their victory lifted them a game clear in first place in the league, but for him our performance could've and should've been a lot better and if we were going to go down on the day, we could've gone down with less of a whimper and made it a far more level match.

As for Forest, he talks about our home form and how we need to take the game to them starting with the first whistle and not finishing in our efforts until the final whistle. Stick together and move on is his message.
