Holloway - It Should've Been All Three Points

Manager Ian Holloway has said he's disappointed that we didn't take all three points in today's draw with Bolton Wanderers.

Millwall bossed the possession and the chances really, but still fell behind in the first half, needing Martyn Woolford to rescue our blushes eight minutes from the end of normal time, but despite that, Holloway believes we should've come away with a maximum haul.

Speaking to the official site following the game, the gaffer explained.

'The lads played some really good stuff at times. Fordey's penalty save was a big lift, but long before then we were creating chance after chance. You only need to look at the stats. I'm gutted that we didn't get three points but I can see what we are trying to do and I see that the belief amongst the players is coming.'

Ollie did go on to say that he thought the team were very brave in how they played, but a slight disappointment for him was that we tried to overplay it in situations when somebody really should've just opened up and had an effort, or tried the riskier pass instead of playing safe and trying to wait for the perfect opportunity to come through for us.

Our gaffer also wasn't too complimentary about Bolton saying he was 'deadly serious....I would be bored senseless watching that kind of performance.'

In quotes carried by News Shopper the gaffer also responded to Dougie Freedman's claim that he felt Bolton controlled the match by barbing.

'Well, to be honest with you if that is what you think controlling the game is I'm glad I'm sat in this seat.'

No love lost then.
