Harris - No Fresh Concerns Ahead Of Bristol City

Manager Neil Harris has called on Millwall to maintain their momentum as we go into this weekend's clash against Bristol City and he also confirmed he had no fresh injury issues to contend with.

Speaking to the official site as he met with the media earlier today to give his thoughts ahead of the match, Harris called on the team to build on the 'one hell of a performance' they put in against Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening.

Whilst he maintained we were poor defensively and that was 'particularly frustrating' he certainly wanted more of the same in attack having dominated large periods of the game in midweek, registering more efforts on goal in the four three defeat.

'It wasn't the result we wanted, of course not, but I am really proud of the performance in so many ways. Any neutral would have been privileged to be at that match and plenty of Millwall fans stayed to clap us off at the end because they witnessed one hell of an effort - we just shot ourselves in the foot at the end.'

Harris went on to say.

'We will look to take all the momentum, all the positives, shape and structure that we have shown in our previous matches into the Bristol game. It's a chance to really relish and look forward to.'

Turning attentions to Bristol City with them looking for improvements having broken their transfer record for the second time in two years, Harris felt it would be our toughest test yet as we return to the Championship.

'This will be our toughest test of the season so far. They are a side that have ambitions to be in the top ten this year, maybe higher. Bristol are a football club on the up and they have progressed so much over the last four or five years.'

In terms of team news, there are no fresh injury concerns following midweek for Harris and summer signing Ryan Tunnicliffe could debut after getting 70 minutes under his belt for the U23s earlier in the week.
