Harris' Preston Aim

Harris' Preston Aim

Millwall manager Neil Harris has called on the side to put in a repeat performance when we face Preston North End this weekend.

On the back of our impressive victory over Leeds United, Harris wants to see a repeat performance when we head to Deepdale to face Preston on Saturday, but he knows it'll be a difficult game as they are a 'very talented' outfit themselves.

Speaking to the official site as he met with the media for his pre game press conference, Harris explained that Leeds simply had to be a benchmark for the side for the remainder of the campaign.

'The Leeds game we can use as the benchmark. It's about backing it up at Preston. It will be a really tough game because they are in good form and have a talented young squad. They play with high tempo and high energy and we will certainly have to match that and be right at it on Saturday.'

Harris went on to say.

'The League would have taken note of our performances recently and we know that if we keep up with those strong performances then the results will keep coming.'

Striker Lee Gregory remains suspended for the tie and Tom Elliott is ruled out with injury but otherwise Millwall have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game.

'The players mentality and focus has been top draw this week and they are certainly looking forward to this next challenge.'
