Stay Focused & Push On - Harris

Millwall manager Neil Harris has warned the players about getting carried away given our start to 2018 and he's insisted everyone remains focused ahead of Burton Albion this weekend.

Meeting with the official site and the wider media for his pre game press conference ahead of our trip to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton Albion on Saturday, Millwall are obviously going in to the match looking for our fourth away win on the spin in recent times.

We also owe Burton one following a one nil defeat at The Den earlier in the season and Harris' message was simple.

'We need to forget previous results, it's all about Burton now. They came to our place earlier in the season and absolutely robbed us of the points. They had one shot in 90 minutes and scored. We want to put that right at the weekend.'

Harris went on to say.

'I said to the players after Tuesday's game, 'well done, 11th in the League is a great position to be in, I'm proud of you and you should be proud of yourselves' - but I expect more, we can do better. We've left so many points on the pitch. Teams have beaten us that never deserved to beat us this year. Between now and the end of the season, we've got to prove ourselves by beating the teams that have beaten us.'

With the games running out in the campaign Harris said his sole aim this year was to get to 50 points and consolidate our position in the Championship once more, but we sit only five points shy of that total and there are 13 games yet to play so the season could surpass his expectations. Again we'll only do that if we keep our feet on the ground.

'We need to carry on amassing as many points as quickly as possible. My sole aim this season was to get to 50 points. We're on 45 now, so we have to pick up five points from the last 13 games.'

The gaffer also confirmed that we had no fresh injury concerns ahead of the tie.
