Williams 'glad' to leave Millwall

Marvin Williams finally sealed his move to Yeovil today for an undisclosed fee.

The winger has signed a two-year deal at Huish Park and told ytfc.co.uk about his move:

'About three and a half weeks ago I got a call saying that Russell was interested,' he said'

'There were a few clubs interested at that time, so I just sat around and held tight'

'To be honest, Russell was really persistent and he was the one who really came in and pushed for me.'

'From there I always knew that I would be going to Yeovil, so I'm glad that it's done now.'

Marvin Williams has not actually said he's "Glad to have left Millwall" anywhere. He says he is glad that he's "glad that it's done now." That doesn't mean that he's glad to have left.

Yes, i think he wasnt given the right chances and shown respect for the work he did for the team.

Bad move on WD behalf... I just hope he finds a suitable replacement VERY soon... Williams may have had a bit of attitude but at his age who hasnt. He only wanted to play first team football and I mean what player doesnt want that, and i always thought he was worthy of a first team place. We'll just have to see if this will come round and bite WD on the backside!

It must have been a hard move for him. Most Millwall fans can understand him goin, but all had a bit of hope he'd stay. You watch him smash in 15 goals next year for Yeovil. They've got a good deal with him.

What!!! you have had a player leave and go to that big club Yovil. Just how far are you lot going to drop.( cant go down much further your already in the gutter) But it is sooooooooooo funny.

I think your confusing us with someone who gives a ****..... Anyway has your club been sued yet... only a matter of time hey. Or maybe they'll relegate you as you deserved in the first place

Yes a misleading headline....stop keep trying to stir it up......However the way Williams picked up the phone and asked for a transfer because he wasn't in the first team shows a poor attitude, quite why he thought he should command a first team place is beyond me, fact is that most youngsters have to be brought on slowly because consistent high performances are at a premium......He should have been listening and learning, time is on his side....WD was right to get rid.......and I think he might struggle at Yeovil if he takes Attitude with him..!

Marvin was(is) a playerof pontential, that he was never going to realise at Millwall. Once upon a time someone told him he could be really good, so he stopped trying. I think it is a shame what has happened to a once great east london club and they should be given the chance to re-build in non-league football.
