Don't worry mate, it's all a joke.
On a serious note, as I suspected I was not the only one who did not know what was occurring.
Silver, Mama and Arthur didn't know either.

Btw still no reply from efl

I just signed up for the video since I am in the US or Costa Rica most of the time. I noted that that website says that it can be viewed "anywhere in the world" I was under the assumption that it was not good in the UK, but this seems to say otherwise.

My concern is that Deano and Terry will not be announcing and I will have to buy lions player as well.. One gets attached to things.

FLL. I am not sure that Lions Player will exist any more as it appears that all LP subscriptions have been swallowed up by ifollow. I think it was BP who posted that there is absolutely no mention of lions Player on all the info about subscribing to ifollow.
It raises some interesting questions about whether it will be able to show live games from the Den in the UK. If it was (and I very much doubt that there are not copyright issues about such screenings) then anybody could legitimately sign up for ifollow, live in London as I do, pay £110 and have no need for a season ticket costing three times the price. I could also watch all the away games, not have to pay for away travel or an away ticket and watch it all from the comfort and safety of my own home.
Looking at the other side of the coin if I can't watch live games then why would I pay the same as someone living in Dublin or Paris or Costa Rica (as you do) and not get the same service. Surely there has to be a two tier payment system. One for those who can watch live games and one for those who can't.
I have emailed EFL/ifollow to ask those questions but have yet to get a reply. When I do I will post it on here.

Silver... As usual English people living in England are being shit on. I don't think this will have any impact on attendances as people who go to games will continue to do so. Eventually internet season tickets will be available and it won't make any difference where you live.

I have had a reply from EFL.
I'll post it on here tomorrow.
Basically, there will be a different and cheaper scheme for UK residents which will include match commentary.
Interestingly, they did not say what the UK price was going to be.
Whatever the figures and other details, this has been an abysmally marketed product.
They seem to think we are slavishly going to sign up because it is our team.
I have asked if there is an option for me without pictures, as my internet is not good enough to watch video.

Silver--I am only in Costa Rica part of the time...mostly in Florida, but it is good I can get video now. Hope you don't get slighted. I also don't think that having video available will necessarily cut attendance. If I was in the UK, I would go regardless of whether I had video or not.

Sorry I missed you before Wembley--made it to Waterloo and then to the stadium. I was supposed to be in the same Section as BP but missed him also...o well--I have a few more years left.

I read the first few posts on this

My understanding is

The football league run all (or most) of the football league clubs websites, lions player and all the other clubs "players" are run by the football league, now we have Ifollow, the football league has given this task to a private company who also run live video websites for the American football league NFL/AFL, I only see 2 options on the official website of Millwall that is the free account and the paid account don't seem like there is an option for just the commentary as it has a red X beside it on the free account so it look like you have to pay the £110 for the commentary and you get everything other then the live matches.

Can someone outside England try that link and tell me if you get the overseas log in. I am only getting the UK option for £45. If i can't watch live i'm not interested.

In the US there are two options. Free and $140 for video and some other nonsense.

If did email EFL with some specific questions about whether you could get live coverage of MFC games if you lived in London, as I do. This is not a reply to my questions but they did send a general email about next season which is below and gives an answer but not a price.

With the season now over we wanted to share some exciting news with you. Ahead of the 2017/18 season, the EFL is improving the PlayerHD service, which will be relaunched and renamed iFollow.

Via iFollow, fans will have access to live audio match commentary, as well as extended highlights and exclusive behind the scenes videos in HD, across mobile, tablet, app and desktop.

Never miss a moment, with iFollow.

Mama's link above worked better if you go to the OS. Go to More in the menu at the top, scroll down to iFollow and subscribe and you get the whole story. To me it looked as if what you got last year on Lions Player will cost you £45. What is not clear is whether you are automatically signed for iFollow next season if you subscribed to Lions Player. My subscription is taken in August and I would be very surprised if they didn't just take it as they have my bank details. I am not sure what you would need to do if you decided not to renew. My guess would be to talk to your bank.
Last year it was 34.99 and now it is 45 with a different name but pretty much the same. Shock!!!
