Try again,,.......

it was us or Man U to get relegated on the last game of the season. We lost Man U stayed up, Grimsby were champions. Glover top scorer.

We had a player called Fishlock who slapped Glover around the gills.

This was the season we got relegated thanks to losing to Manchester Utd in last game of season. And Grimsby were, indeed, Champions with Glover Division 2's top scorer with 42 goals (from 39 games). All that is true.

However, answer is to do with a feat accomplished by Glover over Millwall (other than the hat-trick he scored in a 5-2 win). Nothing else. Although the details above are strong clues...

Come on, chaps: there is apparently a ticket for the Wolves game to play for here...!!!

Not against us they didn't. Our record League defeat was 1-8...but that was at Plymouth.

Come on chaps: you are ridiculously close to the answer!

Clue: look again at Glover's League goalscoring record for the 33/34 season given above.

I'm looking carefully at the wording of the original question......

What even more notable feat did he achieve against the Lions that season?

Now, this match was in March. We had already played them at the Den.
Therefore, whatever he did, he did achieved it during this match, the 5-2 victory when he scored a hat trick.

I'm guessing it was the most hat tricks in a season?

The answer involves Millwall and Glover.

Another clue: you could say it was as much a humiliation of Millwall as it was feat....

off the top of my head, I think he scored four goals against us in his career. He certainly scored the only goal in Grimsby's 1-0 win at The Den in 1932/33.

The answer refers only to what he achieved in 1933/34 season....!!!!

Nope. Sorry. I'll reveal all at 21:30 hours proper British time. If my internet, which has worked for only about 5% of the day, actually allows me.
