breweries and biscuits

Very close.

Burnley is a bit of a curve ball - so it wouldn't be too obvious. But, if you can list the associations for the rest you get Whiskey's leftover jam and a signed book (NB: Whiskey has not agreed with any of this).

They all have some association with food and drink, although Forest and Burnley are the most tenuous.

Millwall = jam
Reading = biscuits
Burton = beer
Forest = Gateaux/ and/or their first official colour was Garibaldi red (biscuit).
Everton = toffee
Burnley = The Clarets, a wine.

Moody, food and drink theme is it?

We'll, Burnley are the Clarets,
Everton are the Toffees,
Burton is famous for brewing,
Not sure about Forest.
It's not something to do with Boots the chemist being founded in Nottingham is it?

Whisky got it. So luckily the prize is sorted.

Initially I thought of Burnley because they have a stand called the Bob Lord Stand, named after a former chairman. He was founder of a successful chain of butchers in the Lancashire area.

However, I then thought about them being the 'Clarets' too - and given the butcher link was a bit tenuous I thought either answer would be good enough! As both fitted the food and drink theme.

A pint for all those who took part next time I'm in the Blue Anchor!
