"It takes a man in a tweed suit five & a half seconds to fall from the top of Big Ben to the ground." (Peter Sellers as Michael Caine)

Not a lot of people know that.

I nearly made it to Kiev once, we flew in to Moscow but was travelling out on train, scenic right? I was new to this visa stuff and for some reason got the visa date for precisely the date we was departing. My Mum had died recently, still wasn't right in the head and wouldn't be a for a few more years.

I didn't think to consider that it would take x amount of hours to reach the border and we should have been on an earlier train. So we got woken up, taken off the train and to the holding rooms. I was all up for drinking with the comrades in the next cabin but she wasn't, fortunately. I'm pretty sure we was supposed to bribe the police but considering the height of the new cold war between UK and Russia at the time, I didn't want to push and find myself in a gulag. So back we went to Moscow. It took two days to get out, having finally found someone at the airport who could help after British embassy never answered the phone. They probably have me on tape calling them cunts. I was the cunt for fucking up the visa though.

After cheating airport flight rules on buying tickets and only getting a one way half route so could change destination, the girl wanted to go on to Budapest after arriving in Poland, but I'd had enough. Been there done that ha. Check-in Kiev, one day.
