Random quote: Reflecting on his time as the Millwall manager Graham informed the South London Press: "The Millwall fans reminded me of home. The ground may have been a bit spartan, but I soon realised that the fans were in a different class. In fact, their passion for the game reminded me of my days in Glasgow. The people up there are really fanatical about their football, they eat it and sleep it, and the Millwall fans were exactly the same. That was something I wasn't used to, because I thought that in general, southerners were less passionate.

Yes, mate.

Millwall were being evicted from their ground and the Lions were done for....just a year after we had reached our first FA Cup semi-final.

At the last minute a meeting was called to see if Millwall could be saved. Not only did Millwall supporters turn up but so did Spurs showing off the FA Cup they had just won as a fellow Southern League club.

The Tottenham players and officials implored the Millwall supporters and officials to fight on...using the FA Cup as a totem.

They created such a fervour that the Millwall guys basically said; "fuck, it...let's go for it...!" Somehow found a new ground and made it just about fit for football for the next season and by 1902/03 we were back playing in an FA Cup semi-final.

Had not Spurs intervened with their rallying call and the newly acquired FA Cup, there probably would be no Millwall FC today.

Thanks. Very interesting.
