this season, and maybe for a couple of seasons. A six pointer against a club who are going down. But there's a pattern: lose at home to Barnsley, then away to Brentford, both relegation rivals. We are incapable of winning the crucial games because we do not have a decent striker at this level. At the moment we are living in a fool's paradise - because Sun'lan will most likely get out of the bottom three and so will Brum. Even Bolton possess the wherewithal. You would suspect bottom three before Christmas and bottom by March. Unless we can score. This is not the Hater's Arms re-opening. I think Harris has done a good job - an excellent job last year. But not this year.

Unless we just accept that we can't cut it at this level, given our lack of cash. Except that our opponents today have much less money than us. So do Barnsley. So do Brentford.............

we need a forward. A Dichio, a Claridge, a Dublin. Nowt special. Just one of them.

Thought exactly that today. We need a big gangely centre forward. A right awkward fucker, all elbows and clumsy but direct.

Whisky - Meredith wasn't non-league. Nor McLaughlin. I'm not suggesting we buy fucking Neymar.

Well every animal in the world when cornered and facing death give its best to survive.
There is no better time than now to start to fight
This lack of our own confidence in our fighting capabilty is bollox
First 10-20 minutes of second half in Cardiff we looked like team thats ready to beat anyone in this league.
With that kind of "no respect" attitude who can stop us ?

But Harris has to find first eleven lions ready to take everyone no matter who we play. And play them every week.People have to know its place in the club.

We didnt score in one hour against shit side at home.WHERE THE FUCK BOLLOX WANISHED . GROW SOME BALLS

Here's the problem, last season we beat 3 premier teams as well as the notable victory at Wembley. This season already some good point scoring games, Leeds, Norwich etc. All archieved playing a similar style of play albeit with some improvement in quality footballers this term. Harris has made the style work with what he has at his dispose and it works, but not all the time. If the opposition set up and so call park the bus we cannot deal with that tactic, the set up midfield and front pairing cannot score goals and make the openings. If we use wing backs the centre defence becomes exposed.
I think the problem is midfield where where we have no guile and forceful forward play.

No, you're right. We cannot break down teams which come to defend. And that would be fine if we'd picked up more points away from home. But we can't score often enough on the counter, either.

Think JB should test the Venky's resolve and put a bid in for Dack in January, we missed a trick there with Gillingham.

Elliot is exactly that wipp, he is a handful and so was Fred when he came on. Ironically in the last minute of extra time Elliot went up to flick for Fred and got too much on it, but there defender slipped and had big Tom left it, Fred was in.

Just one of those days.

We have plenty of class in this team, load of energy and a wonderful defence.

The only problem is goals.

If we could start to find the net, we will be play off contenders. If we don't soon, we will be in a relegation fight when we never should be in a million years.

I drove 320 miles round trip today to take my old man and my boy and we went back home frustrated. Not because we are shit, we are not, because it was a frustrating day. Shit ref, terrible decisions and more misses. That sums it up, pulling it all apart is over analysing.

We were poor today Midway, but we are not a shit team, I stand by that.

We are lacking goals. Goals change games totally.

I said to me old man a few times that if we score, burtons game plan is finished and we will go on to win comfortably.

Unfortunately we played into their hands and plan and never made that breakthrough.

Look at the misses in the first half, if Wallaces volley goes in, we go in to the break in front and Nigel Clough has a headache. Instead he would have been patting his players on the back stating that 50% of the job is done.

Spoke to some Burton officials. They said that Nigel Clough is a clever manager. Was always going to put out a strong big defensive unit, to nullify the arial threat. He did, and we didn't change or do anything about it. Just kept hitting it long onto their heads. I'm fking thoroughly pissed off with that performance.
