Red card appeal

According to this report the club have appealed against Jed Wallace's red card. Not surprised, got an excellent view of the incident from block 5 and it was a yellow at worse. Not that I expect our appeal to succeed.

I'm sure if you spoke to every professional player they would say "not a sending off but definitely a yellow". Unfortunately, the FA will give the benefit of the doubt to the Ref and we'll lose Jed for 3 games

My boy tells me an Aston Villa red card for a similar offence was overturned recently.....oh, silly me, they are not Millwall, of course....I see now.

I thought Aidan McGeadie did exactly the same for Sunderland yesterday and just a booking I think

The Aston Villa lad that got sent off was identical to Wallace, no chance of winning the ball, crude late tackle. Bit like pulling a players shirt as they run past you. Yellow card all day.
If not overturned then questions need to be asked, about consistency.

Might give Fred the opportunity to play wide right and inject some pace in the side.

Whats the point in having an appeal procedure if an obvious yellow card is ignored?? what sort of cunts are at the FA and why can we not be more vocal in their decision. Answer = Millwall

Obviously the ref and appeals panal felt the fact that the Burton player was about to encroach into the Millwall half had Wallace not intervened, they considered it a goal scoring opportunity

I read with interest the article on NewsatDen and on our OS that the club are dismayed with the decision and are seeking an urgent meeting with all parties to review the procedure. I think they are right as it is quite clear that the only person in the stadium last Saturday afternoon who thought it was a red card offence was the ref. Do the FA and the appeal panel stick with their decision and support the ref or do they have the backbone to hold their hands up and agree that it was a mistake and the offence should be punished by a yellow card?
Call me a cynic if you like but I would be staggered if this was the case.
Or, as KJ used to say......mud sticks!
