Taken from HOF as the MSC clearly dont think we are worthy of notifiying.

Please read the letter attached below that outlines that the Millwall Supporters' Club has arranged an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) with the proposal of dissolving the MSC and its constitution.

EGM Letter - 9th November 2017

The date for the EGM is Tuesday 28th November 2017 and will be held from 7pm in 'Arry's Bar at The Den.

You can read the letter below:

9th November 2017

Dear Danielle (MSC Secretary),

It is with great regret that as chairman of the Millwall Supporters’ Club (MSC), I have been left with no choice but to call an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

The reason for this, is the decision made by the board of Millwall Football Club at their recent board meeting, that the £1 income that we have received from the sale of season tickets and memberships is to be taken away from us and placed into a supporters/fan engagement pot where anyone can apply through the Fan on the Board (FOTB) alone for funds.

This not only changes the way Millwall Supporters’ Club operates, it changes its whole concept and meaning.

Therefore, after agreement out our recent committee meeting, I am proposing an EGM to dissolve the MSC and its constitution.

I have set a date for this EGM, which in accordance with our constitution, is no later than 21 days from this notice. That date is Tuesday 28th November 2017.

From this position, we hope a new MSC and constitution with new aims and objectives operating under a new structure can all be put into place by the time the next official AGM is due, which is next April.

I hope this can be achieved so that once again a good working partnership can be formed between the supporters’ club, fan on the board and the football club that leads to mutual respect and appreciation of one another.

Having been on this committee for 11 years, since I became chairman I have seen the MSC unprecedentedly challenged like never before. It has been an extremely difficult time for me personally but I am determined to do what I believe is the right thing and see this through to a conclusion that will hopefully be the best for Millwall Football Club and, even more importantly, ALL of us MILLWALL FANS.

Yours sincerely,

Ted Robinson

MSC chairman

[This letter comes into effect as of 12.30 on 9th November and should be made available to the public.]

Seems they have just left it all in the bank rather than invest it back into things to improve the lot of the supporters. I am sure they mean well but they lack ideas or courage to try anything new and seem scared ever speak out for the fans. The fact they have been completely anonymous in the renewal battle and it was left for free to join AMS to fight for our future tells me what a pointless organisation it has become.

Has this come about because of the Paradise Papers?

Did the Accounts 2015/16 ever get signed off?

Is the fan on the board still on the board or was that a scurrilous rumour? As it was previously mentioned that the fan on the board would no longer be on the board.

It's the Millwall Psoriasis Club.

The didn't realise the skin condition had a silent 'P'

You can spot them a mile-off - loads of flaky of skin on their SuperDry jackets is an early indicator.

I like the sound of this Kavanagh bloke. I've always got the impression that the MSC was a club paid for the fans but run for the benefit of the 'in crowd'. Run not very professionally either. It sounded for like SK was quite shocked about the financial aspects. He specifically mentioned the Jimmy Mizen money which seemed to generate quite a stir. I don't think he was suggesting that the MSC had run off with the cash, but just made the point that money given in good faith should be properly accounted for. He has obviously now decided that the MSC are not capable of accounting for the £1 per person that the club gives them.

The idea of a 'pot' that fans can apply for is excellent. This will benefit all fans and not just the MSC.

One last thing is that we need to break the link between the MSC and the FOTB. Didn't the MSC recently decide that only the 'in crowd' would be eligible to be FOTB? The club needs to open this role to all bona fide supporters. I cannot see any need for the MSC to be involved in the FOTB election at all. It can all be arranged by the club at minimal cost. The only prerequisite to become the FOTB is to be a Millwall fan of long standing (and certain other legal things that the club might want). Being on the MSC committee should not be a requirement to stand for election.
