No it's not just you, a lot on here don't watch, I myself don't and I only watch Millwall, in other threads England players names being mentioned, I had to do a search for them as I had no idea who they were

I'm exactly the same mate. Also the withdrawals have further devalued this international; regardless of the competitive status of the match a game against Germany should be one that any Englishman is desperate to play in. A bit like playing France, the competition becomes irrelevent, it is all about the enemy!
I am no rugby fan but i can't imagine established England rugby players withdrawing from a game against France because it was only a friendly.
A very sad state of national affairs and probably another thing that has been ruined by the premier league.

I thought it was ok too Monkey. First time ive enjoyed watching England in years, and I include the tournaments in that. Ok, we’re not world beaters and we probably won’t be for the foreseeable, and if Germany wanted to have gone up a gear they probably could have, but it was just nice too watch a young England side having a go, playing with a bit of flare and pushing forward, instead of the tedious side to side, back, side to side, back again (ad infinitum) football we’ve had to endure from them for years now.

Read your piece in The ST and agree 100%
