Why is this building significant?

Those that know, know.

Winner wins two extra points on the Real Wall questionnaire London knowledge sub section.

Does anyone know why the uniquely numbered No. 59 1/2 on the opposite side of the road at the junction with Great Guildford Street has a particularly close connection with this Millwall supporter - especially 60 years ago on Monday...?

I retain copyright on all whiskies on which I give an opinion.

Therefore don't write for newspapers these days, so my views can't be financially siphoned off. I keep control.

So a summary of this mysterious thread. We have 2 buildings in close proximity which have connections to famous events or person's connected with Millwall.

The architecture in the photo is of late19th century , so unlikely to have Millwall connection's on the IOD.

The photo depicts Crowne House , also the building known as 59& half is the same building or at least same architecture but painted white.

It could have been a knocking shop, teeth whitening center or dole office. 60 years ago is a clue so i am going with a Micky Purser connection.

Was it where Danny fought off some she dragons and the evil demon Koschei? Although not detailed so well in Granny Yaga, No. 59 1/2 is mentioned. Was it a possible portal to a time when Millwall won a game?
