Does anyone know why the uniquely numbered No. 59 1/2 on the opposite side of the road at the junction with Great Guildford Street has a particularly close connection with this Millwall supporter - especially 60 years ago on Monday...?

Jim you do come out with some right obscure stuff , but me being a right busy cunt i found out that your dad used to work there so must be something to do with this :103:

'ing hell...!!!!

Spot on, mate!! Impressed!

Yeah, my dad worked there from 1947, I think, to 1967 and took me there the odd time.

And it was exactly 60 years ago on Monday that my mum's midwife rang that building to tell my dad to get home to Surrey sharpish as I was on my way.

"Hello, can I have the Brandy department please, it's urgent."

"Brandy? We don't have a Brandy department. Who is you want?"

"Mr Murray. He's about to become a dad again."

"Hold on caller, I'll put you through to the BRANDING department..."

And so it was I became associated with spirits - albeit a very inferior type - on the very day I was born. And it was 59 1/2 Southwark Street that news first broke that I was on my way...

Don't be fooled colleagues. This is all just a round about way for Whisky to casually inform everyone that he is 60 on Monday, and he is fishing for birthday wishes when the day comes

Just as an aside (and for my son who lurks) it is my birthday on Thursday, and I have survived 2 years longer than our learned friend above.
