I have never understood why our home colours are white and blue. Clearly should be red and white.

Starting to resent all these fucking international breaks. It'd be different if we were any good.

Thanks Arthur, I thought it was only me. Add to that list the goalkeeper, and that Cheeky Reuben Loftus.

2nd half performance was pretty good, and Loftus-Cheek dominated in the middle. Pickford should be the regular number one.

This was a game to test out the squad. There’s only so much you can do as England manager when you get so many withdrawals.

From what I saw Maquire was very good; Trippier is the Spurs right back that ripped us to pieces in the FA Cup last season and looked decent last night; Gomez is the ex-Charlton youth player who went to Liverpool for a small fortune and didn't look ready for International football and Cork, son of Alan Cork of Wimbledon fame, arguably had the worst 10 minute debut of anyone that's played for England and looked totally out of his depth.

Nonetheless I was encouraged we managed to retain possession and make positive progress up the pitch and create chances

I saw about 20-30mis and thought it was ok. Would rather see those youngsters than what's gone before.

Refused to watch it and found out the score this morning.
Don't regret not watching and will continue to do so, years of shit will not bring my interest back after one or two ok performances.
To think I used to travel abroad and spend a fortune too

Probably best not to bet on England to win the world cup then

Strange. Best England game I've watched for a long time. They were fluid, fast and imaginative. Pickford was 10 times better than Hart. Loftus Cheek better than Henderson. Maguire was ok. Abrahams maybe out of his depth.

Why do England never sign anyone ? it's the usual bore fest whenever they play, i use the word play very loosely.

Matic would have been a good signing for England, I know he's getting on a bit now but Buffon could have done a job in goal for a few seasons. Thomas Muller is another one i' d have brought in and Gareth Bale. Those are just a few potential signings that would improve us, I'm sure you've got your own ideas on who you'd sign for Engkand.
