He's left because he couldn't get in their team, which probably suggests his best days are in the past. I'd love him back in a coaching capacity though.

I doubt he could raise a leap at his age, all things to do with soaring begin to fail with age.

Thought he left because he wanted football in lead up to WC. That is to say cos Ozzie season finishes.

Really? I am 60 and had no problem 'soaring' while reading your little sexy paragraph.

He is 38 and now plays up front... we could have the young whipper snapper Morrison playing beside him..

Cahill is 38. However it seems he was a regular for Australia as they qualified for the 2018 world cup & may make their squad.

Australia are not as high in the rankings as they used to be. CM is not a priority for Harris as when Williams is fit, there will be 4 CM's. Doubtful Cahill will dislodge Saville, Tunnicliffe & Williams. He is not versatile & can't play up front or on the wing if needed.

Australia should have progressed as a footballing nation. But instead they have gone backwards. They are now at the same level as footballing greats like Iran, Congo and Burkina Faso. Tim was a great asset in his day but he is not good enough now.

I would think he will be looking for a team to manage or maybe coach. Good luck to him. I am still pissed he got a red card against Sunderland and missed the final.... no stich up there.

What are you talking about Happy?
Are you thinking of Dichio?
Cahil played in the final.
Come on man...get a grip!!!

and if my memory serves me right, HIS red card was against Notts Forest?

I'm still disappointed that Muscat didn't get hold of mcateer in the tunnel.
