Trust in Bomber....he won't even look at him if he doesn't fit the millwall mould. He's chosen right so far.

As I have said on another thread.....cant we go looking round at Chelsea, Spurs or Arseneal to pick up a young eager striker from their U23 team to come in??

Someone who wants to play first team football and prove themselves??

Or will fiances not allow it....

Getting a proven Championship scorer on loan would be good.

Easier said than done I know. However Chris Wood was proven at Championship level. Having scored 14 goals in the division the season before his Millwall loan. At Birmingham & Bristol City.

Harris would if their attitude was right.

Trouble is, most of these young players at the likes of Arsenal think they've already made it. Most are already rich. Most wont fight for the shirt on a cold Tuesday night up at Preston or the like.

Harry Kane type players are very rare. Most are more Jamie O'Hara or Lewis Grabban

More to the point, Adam, Wood murdered us when he scored a hat-trick for Birmingham at St Andrews. I was there and and we didn't have a single answer to his power.

Kenny Jackett never forgot that performance and wanted him from that moment. It took a year for KJ to get his man, but get him we did. Our failure to secure him permanently really was the beginning of the end for us in so many ways...it was a major psychological blow to both manager and team. And probably supporters, also...

I Googled him and got this. So for obvious reasons it's a no.

?? Because he's a darkie or because he had a trial with West Ham, neither of which stand up.

Both, and a third reason is he is no better than what we already have.

Martin Allen is saying Championship clubs should go for Jon Akinde. Football stats sight says he scored 24 & 26 goals in the last two seasons. Although in league 2.

He's under contract. The'Transfer market' sight values him at 450k.

Might be worth a chance for £250,000

But with him been at West Ham and being son of Andy Cole......the stick will come if he dosent perform

Don't under-estimate how big a burden this could be if he doesn't deliver the goods.

Another Grabban?

In theory a good idea, BUT:

* Very often the Premiership Teams want to the player to be guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.
* Would they want a promising youngster to come to us and play, predominately, direct football?

Why pay that for him?

Rotherhams Kieffer Moore is about £200k. A proven goal scorer who has a number of assists.

English mid 20's and over 6 foot tall.

He's already had a go at Bristol City and done nothing. He's probably at his level in L2.

His Bristol City period was 2008 - 11. He's scored the last couple of seasons. At 28 he's taken his time to find his shooting boots.

Believe 450k is too high for Millwall. That price shouldn't put off richer Championship clubs who haven't bid for him. So probably not good enough to jump two divisions.

Fiancés?

We're not asking their girlfriends to give permission, engaged or not.
