Given the right coaching Fred still has time to sort his head out. At the moment he's all speed and greed. If he was cocking up at 24 then I would want him gone, but 21 is still young.

I was a bit suprised at how many of our players were slipping over Friday. Tunni was one who seemed to be having problems which may explain him taking extra time to get the ball under control and getting caught, maybe. Where was the shout of 'man on'? Was he being man marked?

Of course I was there, rarely miss a game. They were snapping at our heals far more than most, which would account for players getting caught with the ball. When he moved out left and we were seeing out time, we kept the ball much better than if AOB was out there trying to do it. Not saying he's a world beater but does a decent job.

Sorry Froada, I thought you was putting him in the same class as Williams,
Who doesn't do decent, only good or brilliant.

I think Tunnicliffe does a lot more than some people appreciate, also what a ball out to Wallace to set up the goal. Quietly goes about his game and does a good job. Covers every blade of grass and still running his nuts off after 90 minutes.

Agree with that Froada.
Think he could go on to be a big favourite here.

I’ve never really understood NH’s substitutions

I will defend Harris here.

Gregory was exhausted and I guess Fred's remit was to get on the ball, carry it forward and stretch them. Which, to be fair he did - winning a few throw ins and free kicks and getting us some breathing space

Fred came on at Wembley and did the same thing to Bradford, stretch them, win throws and run down the clock.
I remember Moro encouraging him to do just that in the dying minutes in the play off final.

Fred at Wembley came on against Bradford to do that.
Stretch them and win throws and run down the clock.

Holloway's comments on Newsatden fairly complimentary to us including "When he (Harris) brought Shaun (Williams) on we couldn't get the ball off him. That's the last thing we needed at that time".

Makes a change from blaming Harris for our relegation. Perhaps mindful of his stupid egocentric antics on the coach.

Yes. But we all know the Insane One talks 100% unreconstructed bollocks.

So make of that what you will...

Purley makes a point of listing Gregory's wasted open goals. He'll never get the chance with me......
