We have had overseas fans for many a moon. I sent boxes of programmes
to one in Belgium in the 80s. A couple of French kids helped out at Maine
Road. They spend their money and buy into the ethos of our club I'm all
for it.

Met a few foreign fans. Two guys from South Korea against Brum who looked stunned at the noise. We use to have supporters in Scandinavia from the old days of the docks. Don't think we'll see Millwall shirts in sport shops round the world for a while yet. All raises our support though doesn't it?

Gotv no problem with foreigners coming to the 'Wall - just shows we're still the biggest small club in the world and it's their money they are spending - must admit I heard so many foreign tongues on Tuesday night I thought I was walking in the Reeperbahn aGAIN

Happy New year Obes!
Did you and the Mutt see it in with a tot?
Also, wonder if the Reverend will spread the Gospel of the Wall while he is in Oz!
Perhaps he is looking for Tim!

I have just been reading a couple of the other reports from the yank mentioned in FW's link above.

In view of this week's complaints from Wolves, they make especially interesting reading.
if you have read his report of the QPR game, you will know that he takes great interest in the language used by fans, both individually, and collectively.

Here is one paragraph I found particularly interesting:

"The Angry Guy is definitely one of the standard characters you meet at games. But I have to report that at Bristol City I heard — perhaps only because I was more amongst them than usual — some worse-than-usual stuff. When Brighton launched the usual “You’re fucking shit,” the locals’ response was “You’re sucking dick.” The standard taunt of “We forgot that you were here” earned the rejoinder, “We forgot that you were queer.” In 2016, no less"

I am certainly not going to stand up for the PC and snowflake brigade, but, if you were looking for something to complain about, "You are only here for the chicken" would seem to some way down the scale from the words quoted above.

Especially true, as homophobic chanting is supposedly one of the big targets for the FA and their "kick it out campaign" Am I wrong?

And, once again, he has clearly been using Chip advisor Paree.
You must be coining it in!

I, meanwhile, headed off to North Street, where I chose a proper cod and chips for £4 at Fishminster over a gourmet burger starting at £8.50 from the hipsterlicious Burger Joint. Again, the intersection of old and new, and the fish was traditional yet modern and reasonable, just the way I like my fish and my football.

Your'e not wrong BP, however Brighton support is used to having the gay jibe thrown at them, and I'm not sure they are that bothered or actually make a complaint.

We all know that Millwall is an easy target and will get the attention of the press and the FA, that said if a complaint is made I assume it has to be investigated.

As for Wolves supporters complaining, I'm not sure the chicken song is racist? No more so than the DVD song. And just have a look at their song, a bit long and complex, about corner shop owners in Wolverhampton. now tell me that's not racist.

Racism; prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior

King mate, I suspect BP's life style and what he indulges in, in rural French France you would swap in a heartbeat? Not that I know that much about your North American life other than what you put on here. And I'm sure you have strong reasons for being there, just think about BP's extreme's for a moment..........

I don't see anything wrong with any of it. If it upsets the opposing team and supporters, then in my view its fair enough. Fuck em.

I'm coming home in February mate. Honestly looking forward to it. 2017 didn't exactly go to plan... Can't wait to be back at millwall on a cold rainy Tuesday night. America... Good for holidays!

You Bastards!!

As usual, you have taken my words and twisted them!!

All I wanted to say was that if you are looking to be offended, there are more productive places to search than down the Den.

What I find particularly interesting about this bloke's writing is that he is completely impartial, writing the truth as he experiences it, in great detail. That is extremely rare these days.

I'm trying here to raise the level of debate here from the normal, he's a cunt, and all I get is abuse!!

That is my final word on the subject. You can all fuck off!! Oh....and Happy New f'ckin Year!!

BP,

My post was in response to your points and was completely impartial, clear, concise, truthful and and honest.

As for this
"What I find particularly interesting about this bloke's writing is that he is completely impartial, writing the truth as he experiences it, in great detail. That is extremely rare these days."

I despair, you are on the preeminent Millwall forum where there is plenty of the above, Whisky, Silvers, Pearls, Paris, Reef to name but a few that give all of this on an almost daily basis. I even did a screenplay with you as one of the central characters........

Head in hands, puffs out cheeks.
