I see him falling into the grabban and marquis scenario. Given chances, won’t take them but we’ll persist. The contract situation hasn’t probably helped supporters patience with him.

Fred has barely 1/10th the talent of Grabban and 1/10th the heart, desire and determination of Marquis.

He is not remotely similar to either.

Sadly Whisky, you are right. The puzzling thing is he has played well for us in the past, he did stir up a lot interest when his contract was up at the end of last season and some of us thought it was a good idea that we gave him a new contract, including NH. So, where did it all go wrong and, more importantly, what can we do to put it all right.

My thought is another loan to a club where he can play week in week out, build up his confidence, score a few goals and get his mojo back. Failing that, Wellng or Bromley beckon.

Didn’t say he was similar to either but we’ve seen this scenario before. Long before either grabban or Marquis left it was quite clear (to a fair section of the support) that neither would succeed with us, for whatever reason that may be and that’s the point I was making about Fred. As a club I guess we’ve got to give players more opportunity and patience compared to others based on resources, certainly one which has come through our youth.

If he was sold ( or given away ) quietly, no one would be bothered, he's had too many chances now piss off. Lots of good young players out there not getting breaks yet this lazy cunt keeps getting more and more chances. Liked him once but sick of him now
