Fred's started in the Championship games against Leeds, Preston, Reading, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday & Norwich.

His main contributions were being involved in the goals against Leeds & Sheffield Wednesday.

There was talk about him keeping his place after Gregory's 3 game suspension ended. The club had got 7 points from those 3 games. However Gregory came back in.

He needs a run of games but Harris has not got the luxury of giving Fred that opportunity. A lot of league 1 clubs may be interested in a loan. However unless a winger is signed in the transfer window, Fred will be needed as cover.

Bazz,
Do you really think any football manager these days would risk his job by making team selection for symbolic reasons?
I cannot see that being even remotely likely, mate, sorry.

Fred’s inclusion and the patience with him is, I suspect, based on his purple patch at Wycombe a few seasons back where from memory he was shit hot based on what I read. Harris giving him a chance but the step up looks a bit steep I recon.

Fred scored 8 in 11 during that period.

The last two seasons at Millwall, he has played in 40+ & 50+ games. Although a lot of those were coming off the bench. He hasn't been prolific, scoring 10 goals in two seasons.

Good assist stats when he played. But not this season to say the least!

A lot of players go off the boil once they get the contract they
were chasing.

Was he "on the boil" before he got his contract?

I was alluding to W5's " purple patch" at Wycombe Percy.

Not really; but I hear his Marquise au Chocolat is to die for.

That's the kinda high-brow stuff they used to serve up in Punch.

It was a purple patch for a bit at Wycombe - then he went off the boil completely and was dropped.

I see him falling into the grabban and marquis scenario. Given chances, won’t take them but we’ll persist. The contract situation hasn’t probably helped supporters patience with him.

That would be the Grabban who's gone on to have a career at the top-
level, indeed he is the subject of a multi million pound bid at the moment.
Fred can only dream of emulating grabban. Both got a lack of charisma though.
