The FA cup!

What a sad thing to see! The cup used to be just as important as the league, now most sides in the top 2 leagues (Us included) made a load of changes to play fringe and reserve players, it is now seen as a pain in the arse extra game, when teams go out, its a shrug of the shoulders and on to the 'important stuff' of the league!

I blame the managers and the TV companies, just a look at yesterdays MOTD (We were the very last game to be shown!!!) they interviewed loads of managers, hardly any were British let alone English, The FA cup means nothing to these foreign mercenaries, Wenger started it 20 years ago putting The Premiershit above EVERYTHING, ask any 'Fan' from the big clubs "Would you rather finish 4th or win the cup" most would take 4th!!

Just another reason I hate modern football and The Premiershit in particular, it doesn't help when the BBC try to convince everyone that "The magic of the cup" is still alive! who do they show? the same teams who are on week in and week out!!!!! if the magic is still alive, we want to see the lowest team still involved or a proper giant killing in the making not Liverpool reserves against Everton reserves!!!!

Agree with every word, Shame is it's filtered through to us, I can remember standing outside the Den all-night to get tickets for the Spurs game when the FA Cup was magical and Wembley was the game where legendary games took place, Now its just a monument to the greed in the game, I like many yesterday didn't bother because it's only then FA Cup, Sad

I'd be proper fucked off if I supported a mid table premier club. Could be a chance for a day out at Wembley, and a bit of glory. If only my greedy poxy club showed an interest. Shows what the supporters mean to them.

That Fleetwood game yesterday was the most boring game of non football I have seen in years.
Leicester should hang their heads in shame!

Scrap 4th place Champions League spot and give it to the Cup winner.. they'd soon change.

Alas the big 6 would never let that happen.

its the teams mid table in the prem that rest players that I don't quite get, why rest players to finish 10th in the league. Also agree last CL spot should be domestic cup winner but the money men will never let that happen.

I always looked forward to the 3rd round , Remember Chester away league game one week then back for the cup (cnt rush score) I'missed the league game so I could go the cup , how about kiddaminster away, forged tickets , I would be glue to that draw to see who we'd get

problem with fa cup is that to a premier club one higher place in the league is worth more financially than the fa cup,and none of them want to play in the europa league, thats all that matters to the non footballing money men running clubs these days

Because you get £21million for finishing 10th in the league and £1.8million for winning the cup

I think that £100million includes parachute payments for the next two seasons
