Paris that song brings me back to 1982/83 era watching the strippers in the Railway Tavern in New Cross, at the time my crowd were aged between 17 and 20 although one of our mates was 15, so anyway this particularly dirty stripper was performing to Body Talk and we were stood at the front of the stage pint in hand and open mouthed as she disgarded her Alan Whickers and spread her legs so that we could see what she had had for lunch, you could hear a pin drop, instead it was a pint glass smashing on the floor as the 15 year old dropped his pint when she suggestively winked at him just before legs akimbo.

A Black, Gay Cowboy....It don't get any worse.
Mind you, might go down well on a Sub. I mean go down, not go down.

I've not seen a stripper in a Pub for years.

My sister lived in a flat opposite Lambeth North Tube in the 70s.

All those pubs down Lower Marsh/The Cut were alive with the sound of G-Strings between Noon and three o'clock on a Sunday afternoon!

Yeah, The Railway...minge city!!

Name this pub:
"xxxx recalls this pub in the 1970's: "This is about as Old London as you can get, and was even more so back in 1978. The pub was heaving that Friday night, and you didn't see many black faces. Well, you didn't see any black faces, or Arab faces, or, indeed, any faces other than the eponymous "faces"of the manor (yes, they spoke like that round there). Millwall supporters to a man (not many women to be seen, either), this was the heart of National Front territory in those days"

My favorite Stripper memory was at the Foresters in Southend, our cup game had been called off late so to drown our sorrows we decided to make a night of it and watch the stripper .
The beer was flowing and a huge cheer went up from the hundred or so pissed up 'Wall as the DJ announced the entertainment, as every item of clothing fell to the floor the eager crowd cheered until it got too much and a stage invasion occured, the stripper ran behind the DJ as he pleaded with us to leave the stage.
After a couple of other invasions she finally got to remove her knickers prompting another final invasion which resulted in the show being called off.

If I were to find myself in the Shoreditch area one Sunday lunchtime, could you recommend a particular Pub?

For research purposes only, of course.

Thanks
