Because no one wants him.

One hundred per cent wrong.

As one Championship manager put it to me a few weeks back: "I could do with him here. But there's no point making a bid for him as he's one of their best players and far too important to them."

dont Exactly remember the bidding war last summer, besides a striker who doesn't score wont cost a lot.
We will find out this summer how many clubs want him.

It's Whisky's £2million + valuation putting them off

Whisky you do talk some bollocks. If any club wanted Gregory that much, even a £3m bid is peanuts to most of the clubs in this division and would be accepted by Millwall no problem. For all his industry, he is still a forward that misses far too many chances, if he didn't he'd have already moved on to a premiership side.

Thought he was a scout last week but its hardly a sanchez situation. how much do you think
One of our strikers who cant score with 6 months left on his contract is worth?

I have conversations with people currently in high positions with Championship clubs, including the odd manager, and apparently what they tell me is bollocks.

Fair enough. You weren't there, but you know better.

Some trick, that...

Had a private drink with a manager maybe a couple of months back; had dinner with the chief scout just before Christmas.

Oh and the odd chat with non exec scouts throughout the season...

As the manager said, he is a very important player for Millwall. He couldn't see that Millwall would in way shape or form consider off-loading him now.

He was also aware that Millwall had a 12 month clause they could trigger. So it is actually 18 months on the contract, not 6.

His price would certainly be different twelve months from now, Colblower, if no new contract had been put in place!

If he doesn't start scoring they might not be triggering it!

This post has got potential. Could end up in MO Gold below the bunker story.

I would hazard a guess that the only scouts that whisky are talking to are under 11 and have just got a badge for washing up the dishes!
