Kev makes a good point, a win last night & Friday would’ve been a buoyant atmosphere, relishing the game and the possible introduction of Marshall & of course Cahill. Now we’ve got a large core of support pissed off over last night, Warnock is a crafty old cunt & will make sure his team to play on any moans & groans that will start if we’re not winning after 30 mins, & if we end up losing it leaves us with a tricky trip to Birmingham who will fancy it big time. Harris fucked up & he, & the team especially, owe us a big performance.

I can see why NH did it and this time it didn't work out. No different to the three prem teams coming unstuck against us last season, it happens.
Although we miss out on the Yids (would we have really enjoyed them putting four past us at home?) Harris knows we lose three on the bounce in the league we are pulled into a relegation dog fight.
I want to play in this league next year with big games home and away every other week, far out weighs one game v the Yids.

Very true I do feel we could have gambled on a slightly stronger side but some of the reaction on here has been over the top and pathetic NH has worked wonders with this club and a slight blip like this doesn't deserve some of the broad reactions we have seen on here today. No one complained about the team selection against Barnsley at home when we rested players and won. I would have liked a crack at spurs at home but give me another season in the Champ any day and rightly pointed out we aren't safe from relegation so still need to protect what is already a small squad in comparison to others. Head up Neil it was a gamble that didn't pay off.

Thing is though, we are in the 'ideal' position to take the cup very seriously.

The bottom three need to hit play-off chasing form & we need to collapse to be relegated. We are 2 wins and a draw away from safety.

Meanwhile, we would need to average over 2 points a game to even have a slim chance of the play-offs.

Last night was not a gamble - it was a totally bizarre team selection based on worrying about a league game on Friday.

Are people seriously suggesting that they wouldn't call Holloway a wanker if he fielded a much changed QPR sideat Rochdale last night with Chelsea waiting at home in the 5th Round ? Or be miffed if Brentford also didn't play a strong side at Rochdale last night with Chelsea waiting at home in the 5th Round.

I think the reason many are angry is because this WAS the ideal time to take the cup seriously.

I guess many believed having beaten Leeds & Reading away and put ourselves in a great position in the league that the manager would then decide to field a very strong side at Rochdale.

The fact he played a side as if Cardiff City on Friday is some relegation 6 pointer is completely baffling.

Millwall have only hosted three genuinely big clubs at the 'new' Den. To past up an opportunity to host Spurs is crazy for a club like us.

I am 38 & have only seen us host:

Arsenal: 5 times

Tottenham Hotspur: 2 times

Chelsea: 2 times

Liverpool: 4 times

Manchester United: 2 times

That was only the 4th time we have drawn Spurs in the FA Cup in our 133 year history (it is 3 really / as how can it count if you draw them alongside a club you get knocked out by?). Why on earth would the club not pull out all the stops to ensure we hosted Spurs in a big cup tie?

Are people really happy that the manager has put Cardiff City ahead of progressing in the FA Cup and facing a big club in the 5th Round? Clearly half of us are royally fucked off / the other half are strangely accepting of this sorry state of affairs. If the manager was anyone but Harris I reckon the outraged % would be more like 90%

Besides, there is more reason to be angry than just missing out on Spurs. Does this now mean we need to check which games the club will or won't take seriously? Will we rest players at home to Bristol City with Bolton away just after? I think more and more fans are feeling cold by modern football. Many on here were attending games in an era when Millwall would have rested players in the league rather than the cup!
