No, Bob The Brick wasn't driven off - he died of shame after being duped with Milano's Nazi Bunker Thread!

I'm sure I have an album by the Bullying Trolls.
Were they not a punk band?

You sure about Bob The Brick Paree ? I seem to recall a Monty Don
type fellow who used to reminisce about flora and fauna. Waxed lyrical
about the joys of naked rambling, rather like Sir Les.

Here's a snippet from The Nazi Bunker - the reason I signed up here in the first place............

Milano have experience of removing some fairly hefy rocks in a couple of landscaping jobs, putting large ponds in, the digger can have a breaker attachment put on it but if its smaller than a 3.5t digger it will take an age to break said rock.

If the rock has been worn fairly smooth it may well be that a water course is running through there, so be prepared for there to be a bit of water in the bunker, or that when you lift the bolder out the hole may begin to fill with water causing your tunnel to flood, either way it may be an idea to hire a pump and get your digger driver to dig a drainage trench with a 2ft bucket, 18 inches lower than the floor of your bunker and slope this away, back fill it with 20mm gravel, this will then act as a soak away for any water draining down or for rain water, if you dont do this the hole and bunker will flood at some stage.

Finally a warning here before trying to sell artifacts you find, most countries have a monitery value that over a certain size the state may own it and also if there were bodies in there you may also be required by law to leave it untouched if your bunker has been declared a war grave, failure to comply with this can result in a prison sentance.
Not so sure about Italy but this is the case in this country as we have war graves dotted all over the country where people were blown to pieces and rather than scaping up the arms and legs that remained the rubbled was entombed in the basement of some buildings.
When I was doing the Brickwork on the fashion models cafe and cafe de paris, there was a huge room in the basement that the architect decided to try and open up, me and a labourer began kangoing through a wall 3 layers of bricks later we broke through into a large room piled nearly ceiling high with rubble, the smell was really bad, word went round the site and within 24 this bod turned up from the war graves commision and ordered the wall to be rebuilt after giving the architect a flea in his ear

bobthebrickie - 23/2/2012 17:28

It must be a fucking big bolder to weigh 8 tonnes, a cubic metre dumpy bag of bark or stone weighs 1 tonne nearly, so if you imagine 8 of the put together.
Might be easier to dig a few metres around it, dig down 3 inches lower, attach a chain round the rock and roll it out because if that is an 8 tonne rock it will take some shifting, even 3.5t digger wouldnt break it, if its a micro digger milano has he may as well be pissing on the bolder as it would have more impact
Milano have you also checked for culverts and storm drains near your house because if you havent you may be about to get very wet

bobthebrickie 23/2/2012 17:58

I do my best work 1 to 1 Millano cant say as I am into side by side or any thing else, plus the fact im more than happy with Maria thanks mate she is a good girl and a find.
You have a pm mate regards to your boulder, as for shoveling shite up hill a definate no no for me I'll leave that preserve to others if its not pink and akin to fresh from the ocean I dont go there
As for work, my maintenance contracts kick off again 2 weekly from 5th March so all quiet at the moment

Milanowall - 23-02-2012 17:36

Bob it seems you know what you are doing, if things devolop like I think they will and you have nothing on next week

perhaps come and give me a hand, I'll get you a flight and put you up, I've gotta have a look inside this bunker Bob, if it is all good and you want in then happy days

Perhaps we could put KJ in it and seal it back up

.............. shortly after this 'Project' Bob came on here looking for support of his application to become Fan On The Board - you can imagine the response.
