Some of you must be young whipper snappers. I don't give a fuck for the reasoning behind the defeat, just the defeat. So on the scale of 0-100, that result up North on Tuesday doesn't even get a ten from me, not even close to caring. Fucking hell, there have been some REAL horrors over the years, enough to make you wanna put a brick through a car showroom on the Old Kent Road...

Over it.

Not voting until after ten tonight.

Anything other than a win against Cardiff, will leave me and Fat Dan with the right hump.

We'll both be on Suicide Watch.

I think many have completely misunderstood the debate over the last few days.

It was never about the actual defeat. In fact, that's quite insulting - because everyone chucking around sly digs know that that those saying they are angry have been going to Wall for decades now. ie we are quite used to seeing the team lose big matches, as well as being beaten by lower league sides. I went to Hartlepool United away in the 1st Round one year, we lost in the last minute. Sure, I was disappointed up until the next day, but I wasn't angry. I accepted it was one of those things in football (Whisky talks about this in other threads).

This was different though - this was Millwall openly disrespecting their opponents, the FA Cup, the chance to play a big club at home for all fans, and most frustrating and unforgivably of all the actual fans who travelled to greater Manchester on a Tuesday night in horrific conditions & praying the game was simply on.

It's not a case of 'getting over' a defeat. Like said, we have all had lots of practice at that over the years (christ Birmingham in the play-offs anybody??) - it's about being angry that the club have removed the smoke and mirrors. On Tuesday night it was clearly stated that the manager puts his job above the romance - and you know what, can we really have a go at him about that? I guess that is why others are defending him so much. Of course Harris has to look after what his best for him and his plans - ie staying in the Championship (although his maths is shit on that front!); but for me, well it kind of makes me numb to modern football then. Not angry, not needing to 'get over it', just numb. Man City's Bert Trautmann once played on with a broken neck in the final; on Tuesday the manager was clearly worried about the sand & in other news a multi-millionaire footballer is depressed (not diagnosed yet - as far as I am aware) about not getting a move.

I think the only 'getting over' some of us will be doing is getting over football due to what it has become.

I went , had the hump when I heard the team and for all of the game. Was over it by the time I got back to the car 5 minutes after the game finished.
