It was the same last season: we don't close down rapidly enough on the edge of the box.

And Adam - you missed one out: Boro. Should have saved it. But the bigger problem was not recognising Stuart fucking Downing on the edge of our area lining up a shot.

Agree, he got both hands to it but it still went in.

To me it is a kind of Shilton/Clemence situation: you could put either keeper in and they would do roughly the same job, though in different ways.

Actually Shilton was always the better keeper.

However I can see an argument for retaining the keeper who the rest of the defence are familiar with cos they can then try and eliminate the kind of situation where he is liable to make a rick.

But at the same time nobody can ever get the impression they can never get dropped or get a chance regardless of those ricks.

I think Archer is right on the edge there.

One of Martin's characteristics is when he has saved a shot or collected a cross he charges forward to the edge of the box and throws it out firmly to one of our players on the wing. I have mentioned this before. Well well what a surprise! Did anybody notice that Archer did exactly the same thing against Cardiff on Friday? I have never noticed him doing that before! Has anybody else?

Archer did this at Reading too, he has a decent throw on him.

Don't think you can blame Archer for Cardiffs goal, Romeos fault totally.

Yes, but two blacks don't make a white.
