What players over the years have suffered at the old den (IE getting lots of stick it affected there game etc).

I remember ray parlour getting some serious stick at the new ground - i think he was subbed in the end.

Paul Pescaledo (spelling??) at the new ground. I think he was subbed at half time. I don't think I've ever seen a player be so affected by the crowd. It was the first game after Brady accused us of throwing hand grenandes.

Paul Birch got a good going over I think. Also the Forest winger with the perm (subbed at half time) -can't remember his name.

They both folded over, but others, like Speedie etc. seemed to thrive on it.

Robert Fleck when he played for Norwich.

Everytime he got near the edge of the pitch "You scots cnt" would go up......but he'd look over with a big smile on his face. He seemed to enoy it.

John Jackson got it from both barrels playing for Orient. Two weeks later he signed for us.

Staying on keepers, I should remember this but I don't, I'm sure his name was Tony ?something?
He threw one in and got such a barracking after that it was bordering humilliation.
We still sang his name the next time he came to the Den. (Someone help me)?
This was probably one of the last seasons at The Den.

The Paul Birch one was hillarious, he got taken off.
Fleck used to love it and usually payed us back with a goal.

Same with Ian Wright.

But sticking to you thread question, I think if you ask them, most pro's who played against us felt traumatised to some extent visiting The Den.

The Sun used to do a player Q&A every Monday and one of the questions was Least favouraite ground?
I'd say 90% said The Den.

Remember the Norman game....I don't think he ever recovered.

Does anyone remember how Derek Dougan, reacted to be chased and kicked on the pitch?

Paul Birch had to be the funniest

Tony Norman was almost a folk hero by the time he returned, took it really well too, same with Fleck

Andy Gray always said he could never get away from the Den quick enough.

Julian Gray for Palace on Boxing Day a few years ago. Was wearing an all black kit and had orange boots ... "Theres only one Daffy Duck" amongst other chants used that day.

The most stick I personally have ever seen anyone get is a game against Portsmouth when Graham Rix was manager. "Graham Rix, sex offender" rang out for about 20 mins non-stop. Quality!

Peschisolido "you're chit and your wife's a slag" was almost a universal chant.
