Hey, we all looked like that then.

It will come back in fashion one day, just you watch.

Edit: Good thing you couldn't see the silk scarves tied around my belt loops.

I was only 8 or 9 but remember being there with my dad and they were different class on the day.

Am I right in thinking we played them in a pre-season friendly at the Den and they tonked us 6-1 again?? I think we had Nicky Johns in goal that day??

Yes, Marc
Also the day of another riot - it was the nf march through Lewisham which started at Clifton Rise in New Cross.
Excellent pre-season warm up for some of our followers who in one foul swoop had it with the socialist workers, then steamed into the cheering, but soon bemused nf lot followed swiftly with a more traditional tear up with the plod.

Great memory NTO. My nan used to live in the flats opposite Lewisham hospital and can remember the NF march as well. Didn't realise it was the same day though!!

What i remember most about that NF march that day was the fact that the 36b didn't go all the way to New Cross and i had to walk from the 'Front Line' in Brockley, remember walking past all the lefties gathering around Clifton Rise thinking '**nts' for making me have to walk for ages(i was only 12 at the time but already a good judge of character ) and hoping they got bashed.

Remember watching the News later that night and can swear the reporter said something along the lines of Millwall fans attacking both groups before going to watch 'Wall, looked pretty good as well!!

Two classic quotes...of course everyone remembers Bobby Robson 'get the flamethrowers out and burn the bastards' after the game, but their chairman was great.'We were only in the ground (seats)for 7 minutes and we were attacked with bottles, bricks and chains. I will not accept the Millwall Chairman's apology that it was a minority, there were thousands of them'. Brilliant. Can't remember that much about it anymore.
