Go for a four in hand knot as you get a nice dimple under the knot and it's easy - Something I know you will appreciate Ryan

Ryan - I just don't believe you Jesus Christ it's second nature to tie a tie properly and the good people on here have ssent you the links to an half -Windsor and others. If you cannot follow the directions for either then you deserve shooting TWICE. When you have finished and to make it look neat and tidy , tuck the length at the back of the tie , the slim bit , into the name tag which is on the back of the big bit. It will then not drift all over the place. By the way , technically you are not putting a knot into a tie , but a "bend". Basically a Windsor is two round turns and a tuck God, give me strength , please

Right...

Hair - Against tradition, only use a quarter of a tub of gel this time. You may opt for a side-parting or spikier effect. Avoid french-crop.

Pants - Clean, with label at the back. One leg in first, followed by the other. Do not attempt to jump in both legs at once. It's kinda like a small pair of trousers really.

Socks - Roll down, pull over toe, the pull up over ankle. Repeat process with other foot.

Shirt - Clean shirt, preferably white. Start as undone. One arm in first, then the other (left or right first, whichever is preferential). Button up or button down as desired. DO NOT use a shirt half buttoned and pull over your head. You'll probably rip it.

Tie - As above.

Trousers - Like pants, but bigger and baggier. One leg in, then the other. Pull up to waist, fasten zip and button. Sudden coldness around groin area means you need a belt. Pull up trousers and apply as required.

Shoes - Clearn. Loosen laces and slowly slide in foot. Tighten and tie laces accordingly. If you have slip ons, do not force. Use shoe horn.

Suit Jacket - Left arm in left sleeve. Right arm in right. That's kinda the rules. Button up for more formal appearance.

In the event of emergency throughout this process, consult mum.

You are now ready to become a man. Good luck.

loooooooool, etc....

Superb, Groucho.

"Do not attempt to jump in both legs at once". This is one I could imagine Andover attempting off his top bunk bed.

Ryan, buy a tie with the elastic band around the neck, they're the easiest.

I'll be honest, I dont know how to tie a tie, so I still use a school boy knot. We didn't have uniforms at school so I had no reason to learn.

Ryan - Groucho has gone to a lot of trouble giving you that check list and I suggest you print it off and pin it up in the morning as you are getting dressed and one LAST thing , Handerkerchiefs, always have at least a clean one , neatly folded in your pocket. It will not impress the interviewer if you "cuff" it. also, have you given thought to wearing a top left side pocket handkerchief, preferably silk and white and casually , but, neatly arranged in top pocket?
