Author Mike Calvin is auctioning off the opportunity for one lucky Lions fan to be interviewed in his new book Real Wall - and all for a fantastic cause.

As some of you know, there's a benefit night at The Whitesmiths Arms in Crosby Row, SE1 tomorrow night @ 6.30pm for 3 kids that lost their Mum last year aged only 30. Hoping to raise enough to send the little 'uns off to Disney Land.... anyway...
Just been offered a superb auction prize for tomorrow's benefit night. Michael Calvin , author of Family - Life, Death and Football (THE best Millwall book in years, if ever) has offered to interview the winning bidder or someone of their choice about their Millwall memories and he will publish in his follow up book about 'Real Wall' where he has interviewed 30 Millwall Legends about their Millwall memories. Truly amazing prize! Get yourself to the Whitesmiths Tomorrow and get your bid in!
Tickets are £10 and there's also raffles for lots of signed shirts and balls.

Great couple of quotes from Simon Mullock on his evaluation of the book.
"It makes you understand what it takes to be ‘Real Wall’. It’s a bit like trying to get into the SAS, but without the laughs."
and
"I’ve got to say that I still don’t particularly like Millwall - and they no doubt still don’t care.
But my respect for the club is total."

I hope its better than the first book...the first quarter of it was like wading through fucking literacy treacle..padded out with typical journo wordyness...why use one word when three hundred will do..
Journos...get to the fucking point!!...we want to read the story, not what wonderful groovy word benders you are!...and stop sticking 'esque' on the end of everything!

If anyone would like to make a donation, they can either go onto HOF and use their paypal account, you'll need to email bird to let her know, or I have an email address for charliemfc and his paypal account can be used or mama said she can collect donations and she will hand them over to bird.
They do not have a 'just giving' donation page unfortunately.
